Other tour highlights include a stop in California’s wine country for a tour and tasting at a Sonoma vineyard (another exciting adventure offered by Globus), and a cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe. In Monterey, journey along 17-mile drive and enjoy views of the Lone Cypress, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and million-dollar homes.

ARRIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO

Welcome to San Francisco, gateway to your Northern California adventure. At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming journey.

DAY 2, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 
SAN FRANCISCO

This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of San Francisco, taking in all the major sites. See Golden Gate National Recreation area, including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio. Also, see Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, and more. Enjoy free time to explore the Golden City before dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2021  
SAN FRANCISCO–SONOMA–LAKE TAHOE

Today, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and head to California’s wine country for a guided tour of the wine caves and a tasting at the  GLORIA FERRER CAVES & VINEYARD, makers of award-winning sparkling wines. Continue to beautiful Lake Tahoe for an evening at leisure.

DAY 4, MONDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 
LAKE TAHOE–TUOLUMNE

This morning, enjoy a CRUISE on scenic Lake Tahoe. Learn how the lake was formed, some of its fascinating history, and enjoy fantastic photo opportunities. Then, travel on the beautiful scenic Carson Pass over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to Tuolumne, a historic community with rich ties to the California Gold Rush.

DAY 5, TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2021
TUOLUMNE–YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Today, journey into YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles you can also find grand meadows, ancient sequoias, and much more. 

Enjoy a VALLEY FLOOR TRAM TOUR that highlights the wonders of this incredible park. Later, continue to your elegant resort, the Tenaya Lodge.

DAY 6, WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 2021
YOSEMITE–SEQUOIA/KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS

Travel to SEQUOIA & KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS, the “Land of Giants.” In these parks you’ll discover a land of diversity and beauty—huge mountains, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world’s largest trees! 

This evening, join in a  STARGAZING PROGRAM, where you’ll hear ancient and cultural stories about the constellations and enjoy an evening under the brilliant California sky.

SPECIAL FEATURE: Wuksachi Lodge sits in the heart of Sequoia National Park. The lodge is beautifully crafted of cedar and stone, and offers panoramic views of the surrounding forest and High Sierra peaks

DAY 7, THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 
SEQUOIA/KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS–MONTEREY

Spend more time this morning exploring these magnificent parks, which now protect nearly half the remaining sequoia groves in the world. 

See the General Sherman Tree, spend time at the Visitors’ Center, and just relax in one of the most beautiful settings you’ll find. 

We then continue across the farmlands of California to the coastal town of Monterey for a 2-night stay.

DAY 8, FRIDAY OCTOBER 1, 2021 MONTEREY
EXCURSION TO CARMEL

Today’s highlights include a journey along scenic 17-MILE DRIVE. Enjoy views of the famous Lone Cypress, Pebble Beach Golf Course, and million-dollar homes. Stop in the seaside town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, a haven for writers, artists, and celebrities. Spend time browsing the shops or perhaps take a stroll on the beach. Then, return to Monterey and visit Cannery Row, immortalized by John Steinbeck in his novel of the same name. Then, enjoy a visit to the world-famous MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 9, SATURDAY OCTOBER 2, 2021
MONTEREY–SAN FRANCISCO

This morning, travel back to San Francisco for your homebound flight. Please schedule flights after 1 pm. (Breakfast)

Hotels may differ from those listed in the brochure on any vacation, but the accommodations selected are of
equivalent standard. Your hotels will be available in your final documents approximately 2-3 weeks prior to
departure. No compensation is provided for hotel stays not listed in the brochure or on the web sites.

Additional advisements may be sent to you.
Confirmation of hotels will be available approximately 30 days prior to departure. In the event of additional
departures on the same date, or other events that may result in the unavailability of hotels as listed in the tour
descriptions, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent in standard.

Any optional excursion pricing and payment options will be available in your Travel Packet (or Documents for Groups)
and will list the currency in which those optional excursions are purchasable. If your tour allows you to pay by credit
card for those optional excursions, your bank will convert, if necessary, the amount to your local currency at your
bank's exchange rate. Full details will be provided in around 90 days prior to travel and in passenger documents.

Tour ends at San Francisco International Airport. Please schedule return flights after 1 pm.
